ST GEORGE Marketing & Public Relations executes ongoing strategic activities to ensure all clients develop a strong, affordable but enduring public image.
Our public relations campaigns are conducted locally throughout Southern Sydney and as far afield as Southern NSW, caring for sole traders and SMEs in the Illawarra, NSW South Coast, Southern Highlands, Macarthur, Nepean, South-Western Sydney regions, the Inner West, Western Sydney, Sydney CBD through the internet, newspapers, television and magazines.
We pride ourselves on the network of strategic specialists nurtured over the past 15 years throughout Sydney NSW, Australia … and sometimes the world. Our direct marketing, public relations and direct response press, TV and radio advertising campaigns can promote your product(s) or service(s), and will fire the imagination of your potential and current customers. The publicity arm of our business can help clients gain a fair hearing from the media.
WHAT IS DIRECT RESPONSE TV?
TV and radio stations have to fill every second of every day with content. Your surplus inventory can sell at a discounted rate using Direct Response TV and radio. St George Marketing & PR advertisers can often receive off-peak rates giving viewers and listeners a toll free number to gain immediate access to goods and services. Media is sometimes available on a “run of station” (ROS) basis.
We use and recommend such late-night TV advertising vehicles as TV1 marathons, Free-To-Air branding campaigns in key regional areas to maximise ROI effectiveness and measure response rates and costs per inquiry. For nervous nellies, we'll take you by the hand and introduce you to our good friends and executives at SKY Business News, WIN TV, Prime TV (regional NSW) and small business-minded radio vehicles such as 2NBC FM (St George) 2WS (Western Suburbs), 2KY (NSW Racing), 2WG (Wollongong), Edge FM (Penrith), Mix FM (Eastern Suburbs), 2CA & 2CC (Canberra).
We can tailor make an innovative, hard-hitting TV or radio campaign over a minimum six week period from as little as $4000 per week (TV) and $1500 per week (radio). The stations will run your ad when it likes over a six-hour timeframe. As a result, the St George Marketing & PR client pays a fraction of the usual cost. We are a leading direct response advisory service on media placement and all aspects of DRTV and DR-radio servicing the 40 local government areas throughout Southern Sydney NSW, the Illawarra, the NSW South Coast, the Southern Highlands, Macarthur, Nepean, South-Western Sydney, the Inner West, Western Sydney and the Sydney CBD. We can buy time slots in bulk on your behalf in most regional and community network broadcast affiliates in local areas plus cable.
OUR TEAM
WE have been blessed to be working with some of the best "non-diva" graphic designers in Southern Sydney with Head Creatives including Janice Billerbeck (Newtown) and multilingual Patty Cao (Leichhardt) who are absolute masters of their craft and active listeners to client briefings, always ensuring that their own stunning ideas are never at the expense of the client's own (eminently sensible) suggestions.
Our consulting associates (pubs and clubs division) are headed up by John Dellios whose specialties include transport and distribution, landscape gardening, special events and amateur band management. Our production affiliates include Galloping Press (Earlwood), Kwik Kopy, Worldwide Print, Global Television, SBS TV, Prime TV, WIN TV, Community TV Sydney (TVS) and Grainger Media.
OUR EDITORIAL CONTROL BOARD
DAVID PETRIKAS Honorary ECB President CORPORATE and Regional Government PR wordsmiths and strategists come no better qualified than David Petrikas, who has carved out an impressive 25 year career to become one of Australia's best and most respected corporate communicators in the mining and agricultural sectors.
He will be available to advise our fast growing local SME accounts from 2007 (Petrikas and our CEO being friends for 30 years being Richmond High School Old Boys) in an honorary capacity in strategic communications as Honorary President of our Editorial Control Board.
Dr LAWRENCE HULSE, PhD Honorary ECB Chairman
RESPECTED UTS (Sydney College of TAFE) PR and marketing lecturer Dr Lawrence Hulse, PhD, has agreed to be our Honorary Chairman and PR Mentor of our Editorial Quality Control Board. Dr Hulse has more than 40 years working experience as a Melbourne radio journalist (Asia Pacific correspondent for NBC America) and in public relations with the US Army in Vietnam.
MICHAEL SPECK Honorary ECB Vice President
COMPLETING this unique triumvirate of media experts (whose combined international marketing and public relations experience exceeds 90 years) is another long-time friend of our CEO - and another Richmond High School Old Boy, Michael Speck, the man who almost single-handedly sounded the deathknell of illegal music downloading and MP3 filesharing to the delight of the Australian music industry for many years concluding in 2006.
Speck has agreed to share his invaluable international media liaison and strategic IT intelligence with selected major SME, government and corporate accounts landed by St George Marketing & Public Relations from 2007 through his honorary role as Vice President of our Editorial Control Board.
We will be beefing up the team with designated LGA marketing and PR consultants next year and will soon be appointing three new, degree-qualified senior executives. For work experience inquiries, please call 0450 187 838.
OUR TEAM PHILOSOPHY
"TACKLE THE OPPOSITION HEAD ON!" - Kevin Ryan, St George league legend.
WE are fortunate to have as our honorary elder statesman, the man regarded worldwide in rugby league as the toughest tackler to have ever pulled on a football jersey, Kevin "Kandos" Ryan. This outstanding and highly educated man represented St George and Australia in rugby league test matches (he was actually a dual code international having also excelled at rugby union ... and boxing).
He was an integral part of the St George sides that won a swag of consecutive premierships from the late 1950s to the late sixties, until Kevin himself brought that glorious run to an end. In 1968 he accepted an invite to captain arch rivals Canterbury-Bankstown who went on to beat the Saints in that year's grand final. Kevin then studied to become a lawyer and became a barrister, representing players during the Super League upheaval.
He has even been a Mayor of Hurstville and a NSW MP for Southern Sydney. Now in his early 70s, but still as fit as a mallee bull (and as erudite as ever) Kevin owes his life to Scott Riddington who revived him after Kevin dropped (clinically) dead on Manly Beach in 2005, said to have been "gone for eight-to-12 minutes". St George Marketing & Public Relations is honoured to be teaming up with Kevin Ryan, who will be our guest speaker at our official launch on:
Remembrance Day, November 11, 2008
(7.30pm)
at the MAHOGANY ROOM, ST GEORGE LEAGUES CLUB, Princes Highway, cnr. Jubilee Avenue, CARLTON
SUPPORTING speaker at our REMEMBRANCE DAY (November 11) 2008 launch will be the Rt Hon George Paciullo (pictured above), former Mayor of Liverpool and former NSW Police Minister under Premier Neville Wran, and later - after not voting for himself in a draw of a hat to become NSW Premier himself in 1987 - Barrie Unsworth. Seating will be strictly limited at $77 a ticket for a 3-course-meal including drinks. For bookings e-mail: info@stgmpr.com.au or call 0450 187 838.
