‘AN INVALUABLE COMMUNICATOR TO OUR RATEPAYERS FOR 10 YEARS’
“I have known Reagan Murphy as a friend and in a professional capacity for over 20 years. During this time I have found Reagan to be an honest and trustworthy person who keeps true to his word.
“As a senior reporter covering our city for some 10 years he was at all times accurate, caring and very unbiased in all his dealings with this council. In fact, Reagan was an invaluable communicator to our ratepayers and is well respected in our community.
“He played a pivotal role in 1993 to help our council lobby the state government to achieve city status. I find his integrity and compassionate professionalism beyond reproach. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Reagan and his new venture, St George Marketing and Public Relations, to any prospective client.”

WITH retired legendary curator Lennie Herbert in 2007 - he kept Richmond Race Club's (pre-loam-1999) grass track as green as a billiard table with on-course bore water from the mid-1970s to his retirement in 1986. We worked happily together returfing both Penrith and Richmond dog tracks every summer for 11 years. Lennie now lives in a northern NSW nursing home.
‘EXCELLENT MEDIA COVERAGE IN DAILY AND LOCAL PRESS’
“I’ve known Reagan for 25 years. I was his first employer at Richmond Race Club from 1977 to 1986 as our club’s Promotions Officer with responsibilities of organising promotions and media liaison. Reagan was most efficient in his duties and was able to obtain radio exposure for the club on 2KY with Ron Casey weekly on his popular breakfast radio program along with excellent media coverage in daily and local press.
“Reagan has also been involved in a great number of community activities, placing me in a position to observe his character and behaviour which has always been of the highest standard, both in dress and presentation. He has an excellent character and is very trustworthy and reliable.”

‘HELPS ALLAY MANY CONCERNS & MISCONCEPTIONS’
“This is to commend Reagan on his many articles which appeared in the St George & Sutherland Shire Leader (1986-1994) … when reports are as informed as Reagan’s it helps allay many concerns and misconceptions.”
(The Late) Councillor Ron Rathbone, OAM
Retired Mayor of the City of Rockdale
‘I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER’
“I have been selling real estate in Hurstville for 25 years and first met Reagan in his early days as the Real Estate Editor on the local newspaper. He was right in the middle of the property boom in the late '80s and even had a hand back then promoting community events ranging from circuses and boat shows to motor shows and sports presentations.
"He also helped organise some very informative travel information nights and interstate property investment nights. He was the first to do that back then and even promoted the South Coast of NSW to his many readers. I'm very pleased to see him on Saturday afternoons when he pops into the office for a few hours of public relations research for me ... generating quite a few useful leads which often result in new listings in a difficut market ... I enjoy his suggestions and follow-up on only those people he recommends. He has been helping us on Saturday afternoons now since 2006 and I could not be happier with Reagan and his business St George Marketing & Public Relations. He is my secret weapon in winning new business. He's outstanding on the phone.”

“At all times I have found Reagan to be trustworthy, reliable and hardworking. His friendly and good-humoured manner is complimented by innovative work practices and alignment with broad community interests.”

‘A GREAT FRIEND AND A NOBLE GENTLEMAN’
“This is my impression of Reagan Murphy: As a journalist, serious, responsible and competent. As a person: Humble, friendly and well mannered. In a few words, in Spanish, we would say, ‘Un Gran Amigo Y Un Noble Caballero’ (A Great Friend And A Noble Gentleman). This is Reagan Murphy.”

‘WELL VERSED IN ALL FACETS OF JOURNALISTIC WORK’
“Reagan Murphy is a well trained and experienced journalist being in the profession for 27 years. He has worked for several papers, is well versed in all facets of journalistic work including coverage of councils, courts, police rounds, sport and general news. ‘HE SOUNDS RELAXED, NATURAL AND VERY MUCH ON TOP OF HIS SUBJECT’
“Experienced senior males are very rare indeed on the ground. I didn’t realize how much work Reagan has already done on air with 2UE. He sounds relaxed, natural and very much on top of his subject … given his obvious experience as a journalist, and his good sound on air, coupled with his desire for a career change, it wouldn’t surprise me to hear Reagan on air somewhere in Sydney.”

NSW HOTEL MARKETING & PR AWARDS
“That was a very exciting night (winning two major AHA hotel maketing awards at Star City in 2002). There is no way we would have made that deadline to get the awards submission in on time and within budget had it not been for Reagan Murphy and St George Marketing & Public Relations. And to win not just one major award but TWO … that was tremendous!
“We just didn’t have the time to do it ourselves but realized we had a major investment in everything we had done with the hotel and we were promoting it heavily on 2KY and SKY Channel. We were very pleased with the way in which Reagan and his colleagues applied themselves to the task at hand … we’ve known Reagan for 20 years ….
"This has been Reagan’s favourite pub in Sydney since the days the Ritz was known as Shanneys back in the 1980s. When I finally get around to doing a book on my life I’m going to get Reagan to write it for me … it will be called Steve Bowden: My Life Behind Bars.”

“I have found Reagan to be an accurate, balanced, fair and highly professional journalist with excellent interviewing, writing, inter-personal and communication skills. He has consistently displayed a passionate interest in local sport, charitable causes, the revitalization of Liverpool’s CBD and community issues in general that extends well beyond his strict work brief.
“Reagan has also promoted in print such key events as the Liverpool Ultra Marathon, the 1994 Penny Lane Festival and the West Sydney Slammers’ basketball fixtures at the EG Whitlam Stadium. I’ve known him for 20 years in a professional capacity.”
